Our Process
Ready to order your custom cake or grazing box?
We make it easy to get exactly what you need.
Step 1 – Fill in our enquiry form
We’ll get back to you within 72 hours with a personalised reply, including design suggestions and a few thoughtful questions to set you up for event success.
Step 2 – Receive your personalised catering quote
Once we’ve agreed on your cake or grazing needs, we’ll send you a personalised and obligation-free quote.
Step 3 - Lock in your event catering
If you’re happy with the quote and preliminary design brief, it’s time to secure your date. We require a 50% deposit to lock it in.
Step 4 – We get creative!
Send us your inspo pics, Pinterest boards, dreams, hopes, and desires – and we’ll create a bespoke design just for you. All our designs are entirely original and unique, but we’re happy to use images as a guide.
Step 5 – We serve up your gorgeous creation
Your final payment is due 2 weeks before your event date.
Behind the scenes we’ll be liaising with your event team and pouring our hearts into your order. We can deliver and set up on the day, or you're welcome to pick up your order.
Hi, I’m Amy Summers
Founder of Summers Sweet Treats, cake maker, grazing queen, and mum to three wild and wonderful boys.
I’ve been baking since I could reach the bench, pouring over the Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book (if you know, you know) and dreaming up creations far bigger than my hand-held mixer could handle. I once made 150 cupcakes for my sister’s 18th — it took a whole day and nearly broke my arm, but I loved every second.
After moving from Perth to Denmark in 2020 with my husband Ash and our boys, we settled into a slower, sweeter way of life. Ash is a farmer, and together we run a property just out of town, grazing beef cattle, part of the region’s rich and thriving local food scene. Being connected to the land and the rhythms of the seasons has become a huge part of how we live, work and parent.
Raising our kids in the country has always been the dream, and so has building something of our own. What started with birthday cakes in the kitchen soon became a beautiful, creative outlet, and in 2022, I launched Summers Sweet Treats to share that joy with others.
From custom cakes to curated grazing boxes, everything I make is crafted to feel generous, thoughtful and deeply local. A little piece of celebration, straight from our corner of the Great Southern.

Yes! Most of our cakes and cupcakes can be made gluten-free for an additional fee. Just let us know when booking.

We don’t currently offer fully vegan cakes, but we’re always happy to chat about dietary needs — feel free to reach out.

Sometimes! Send us a message and we’ll see what we can do — just don’t be offended if I say no. Everything is made to order and Amy works solo in the kitchen, so availability is limited.
